Alternative Provision for Schools

 Help to Learn is a specialist English tuition service established to support Key Stage 3 and 4 students who need additional or more flexible English provision. Personalised English teaching is offered for pupils who may be struggling to access mainstream lessons for a variety of reasons. This can include those who are temporarily unable to attend or engage with their usual classroom provision, as well as pupils who need more individualised support to make 

progress. 

 In particular, Help to Learn can support:

• KS3 students requiring additional English support
• GCSE students studying English Language and/or English Literature
• Students requiring one-to-one English provision
• Students who are temporarily unable to access mainstream lessons
• Students who would benefit from a more flexible and personalised approach
• Students who require online or face-to-face teaching
• Students with mild learning difficulties 
• Students with ADHD, Autism, AuDHD, PDA and RSD
• Students who require trauma-informed provision

Sessions are particularly suitable for students who find it difficult to access mainstream classroom provision. Pupils are taught in a calm, supportive and flexible learning environment, essential for students to learn and continue to develop their English skills, where appropriate, working towards their GCSE qualifications.
